Staylive and SportsMax Limited announce three year strategic partnership for direct-to-consumer services
Staylive AB, the subsidiary of Sweden headquartered Spring Media, and SportsMax Limited, the Caribbean’s premium sports channel of choice, today announce a partnership agreement that delivers a direct-to-consumer content streaming platform through the CEEN TV brand.
CEEN TV, the ‘Caribbean Entertainment Everyday Network’, is an established content service, delivering cutting edge sports and entertainment programming to its domestic market and over cable platforms in the USA and Canada. Through the launch of CEEN TV Play, the availability of this material is now expanded to a growing and passionate Caribbean diaspora worldwide.
The launch of CEEN TV Play ensures a reliability and consistency in programming delivery within a destination content hub, owned and operated by the parent entity. Further, complete ownership of the content delivery chain allows SportsMax to leverage greater insights specific to its audience and fanbase to guide onward content and brand development strategy.
“Our partnership with Staylive allows us to take full control of our content delivery strategy, direct-to-consumer” said Nicolas Matthews, CEO of SportsMax. “As we seek to expand the geographic reach of our premium sport and entertainment content, we have to look to new and innovative distribution solutions that improve our audience experience. In Staylive, we have found a partner who understands our goals and vision for growth, while protecting the integrity of our digital content offering and the needs of our stakeholders”.
“This agreement is a reflection of the ability of Staylive to make real the global direct-to-consumer ambitions of a true content powerhouse” said Matt Parker, Head of Global Sports at Staylive AB. “SportsMax, through CEEN TV Play, will present a compelling means of premium content access and immersion to a highly receptive and growing international Caribbean audience. We are delighted to be partnering with SportsMax at this exciting time of their digital growth and expansion”.
Craig Neilson, Commercial Director, Spring Media added: “We are delighted to expand our provision of expertise and services to SportsMax, a company with whom we have had a trusted relationship in media and licensing for many years. This is an exciting time in sports media, and content owners and creators are in prime position to further leverage their material through expansive direct-to-consumer services”.
CEEN TV Play will launch to customers on January 13th 2023 on web through as well as iOS and Android applications.
